Booking and Cancellation Policy

This Website and the Products made available on this Website are offered to you conditioned upon your acceptance without modification of any/all the terms, conditions, and notices set forth below (collectively, the "Agreement"). By accessing or using this Website in any manner, you agree to be bound by the Agreement and represent that you have read and understood its terms. Please read the Agreement carefully, as it contains information concerning your legal rights and limitations on these rights, as well as a section regarding applicable law and jurisdiction of disputes. If you do not accept all of these terms and conditions, please do not use this Website or book a Product. In all booking arrangements, the person making the booking shall be deemed to have accepted this Agreement on behalf of the persons named in the booking.

Reservation Reconfirmation Required

You are required to reconfirm your tour reservation at least 24-48 hours in advance of the applicable tour day date/time by calling +1 (702) 638-3300 8 am to 8 pm Pacific Time. When calling, please have your reservation number available. Failure to re-confirm your tour may result in rescheduling or cancellation.

When you use the Papillon Website, or send emails, text messages, and other communications from your desktop or mobile device to us, you are communicating with us electronically and agree that we may communicate with you in a variety of ways, such as by email, in-app push notices, or by posting notices and messages on the Website.

Unless specified, tours may be changed or cancelled without penalty up to 72 hours prior to departure time. If you decide to cancel your tour a credit voucher will be issued valid up to one year from the original purchase date. Cancellations within 72 hours of departure time are non-refundable.

Cancellation Protection

If you purchased the cancellation protection, you will have the flexibility to make a one-time time change to reschedule your tour or receive a full refund (excluding the cost of the tour cancellation protection). However, we require that you notify us of your decision to cancel the tour no later than 24 hours prior to the tour time.

Papillon reserves the right to cancel (with full refund to the passenger) any order in which a typographical error on the website caused erroneous display of either pricing or availability during the ordering process or after order confirmation.

No refunds are available once a tour or service has commenced or in respect of any package, meals, or any other services utilized or not utilized.

Pricing & Inclusions/Exclusions

Prices listed on the Website are per person, unless otherwise specified. Price quotations are subject to change without notice, until a booking has been confirmed. Unless otherwise specified, prices include local and tribal taxes or use-fees, including park fees and passenger-facility charges. In the event of an increased price of aviation fuel, a per person fuel surcharge may apply. The fuel surcharge amount does vary for different tour packages and will be collected at check-in.

When you book a reservation for a tour experience through the Website, we collect your payment information and process your payment. Promotional pricing reflects already discounted fares and, unless otherwise noted, may not be combined with any other offer (e.g. Coupons, Saver Programs, etc.)

Papillon is not responsible for changes in currency valuation. Papillon is acting as an agent for suppliers of various travel goods and services including but not limited to ground transportation, airplane flights, meals, tours, and/or shows. Papillon works with these suppliers in selling travel-related services and/or in accepting reservations or bookings for services that may not be directly supplied, managed, or otherwise provided by Papillon. Papillon attempts to represent only suppliers that have shown an acceptable level of stability, dependability, and responsiveness to problems and complaints; nevertheless, Papillon cannot and does not control the actions or inactions of the suppliers it represents. Therefore, Papillon shall not be responsible for any breach of contract, failure to comply with any laws including but not limited to the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any intentional or negligent actions or omissions on the part of such suppliers resulting in any loss, property damage, delay, inconvenience, or personal injury to travelers, travelers' companions, or group members, including but not limited to any losses resulting from changes in suppliers' rates, losses in connection with bookings, reservations, connections, or scheduling problems, or losses arising out of the handling or loss of baggage or other personal effects. Papillon shall not be responsible for any injuries, damages, or losses caused to any traveler in connection with terrorist activities, social or labor unrest, mechanical or construction failures or deficiencies, diseases, local laws, climatic conditions, abnormal conditions or developments, or any other actions, omissions, or conditions outside Papillon' control.

FAA Certified Air Carriers

FAA requires each passenger 18 years or older to present a valid government issued photo identification card in order to board an aircraft, such as a driver’s license or passport.

Papillon Airways, Inc., d/b/a Papillon Grand Canyon Helicopters, also d/b/a Grand Canyon Helicopters, will operate any helicopter flight(s) you have booked. Grand Canyon Airlines, Inc., d/b/a Grand Canyon Scenic Airlines, will operate any airplane flight(s) you have booked. Papillon and Grand Canyon Airlines are FAA Part 135 certified air carriers.

Federal law prohibits hazardous materials from being transported on aircraft including checked and carry-on baggage. Items such as explosives, ammunition, compressed gasses, aerosols, flammable liquids and solids, oxidizers organic peroxides, toxic and infectious materials, radioactive materials, corrosives, poisons, wet and lithium batteries, e-cigarettes, dry-ice and many other articles are considered hazardous. Personal items such as deodorant, hairspray, nail polish, perfume and certain medicines although considered hazardous are permitted in baggage in limited quantities. Some items such as spare lithium batteries and e-cigarettes are allowed as carry-on but are forbidden in checked baggage. Comfort and Safety

Helicopters and airplanes have a maximum weight capacity as well as other restrictions that govern the balance of the aircraft and help to ensure the safety of all our guests. Occasionally, to satisfy these safety requirements it may be necessary to split your group across more than one aircraft. All helicopter or airplane passengers will be weighed at time of check in. Passengers weighing 300lbs (136.36kg / 21.43 stone) or more will be charged a fee for an additional comfort seat.

Flight Routes/Times

For safety, flight routes and flight times may vary due to weather conditions. All tour times listed on this site are approximate and include loading and unloading. Tour operations are subject to cancellation due to lack of passenger demand, weather, etc. Papillon and the suppliers of ground transportation, airplane flights, meals, tours, and various other goods and services reserve the right to change the flights, and any and all details of the tour itinerary as needed. By embarking upon your travel, you voluntarily and expressly assume all risks associated with such travel, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable. Your reservations or utilization of tickets after receipt of this information will constitute consent to the above and an agreement on your part to provide copies hereof to your companions or group members together with an explanation that if they embark, they do so subject to these Terms & Conditions.

Security Notice

Outside alcohol, drugs, and weapons of any kind are not permitted at the Grand Canyon or aboard any of our aircraft. Drones are not permitted to be flown at the Grand Canyon. Smoking/vaping is not permitted at the Grand Canyon or within any aircraft.
