How many pilots are flying the airplanes?

  • Our Cessna Caravan airplane is operated by one pilot and the DeHavilland Twin Otter airplane is operated by two pilots.

Do the touring airplanes have twin turbo engines?

  • The Twin Otter airplane, which is used on a number of our Grand Canyon flights, is built with twin turbo engines.

Are there stairs to reach the doors of the helicopter or airplane?

  • There are stairs used to board the aircraft: the helicopter has two steps approximately 18 inches high to reach the door. The Twin Otter airplane uses a staircase containing seven steps and the Cessna Caravan's staircase is 5 steps. If stairs affect your mobility, please reach out to our reservations department at 702-736-7243 in advance so we can make all accommodations possible for your tour.

Can I fly if I'm pregnant?

  • For helicopter tours, we recommend that a pregnant woman in her 3rd (last) trimester check with her doctor before flying; however, due to the lower altitudes of our flights, we do not have any restrictions.

For airplane tours, we require that a pregnant woman in her 3rd (last) trimester have a doctor's note signed within 3 days of departure providing consent to fly.
