How many pilots are flying the airplanes?
Our Cessna Caravan airplane is operated by one pilot and the DeHavilland Twin Otter airplane is operated by two pilots.
Do the touring airplanes have twin turbo engines?
The Twin Otter airplane, which is used on a number of our Grand Canyon flights, is built with twin turbo engines.
Are there stairs to reach the doors of the helicopter or airplane?
There are stairs used to board the aircraft: the helicopter has two steps approximately 18 inches high to reach the door. The Twin Otter airplane uses a staircase containing seven steps and the Cessna Caravan's staircase is 5 steps. If stairs affect your mobility, please reach out to our reservations department at 702-736-7243 in advance so we can make all accommodations possible for your tour.
Can I fly if I'm pregnant?
For helicopter tours, we recommend that a pregnant woman in her 3rd (last) trimester check with her doctor before flying; however, due to the lower altitudes of our flights, we do not have any restrictions.
For airplane tours, we require that a pregnant woman in her 3rd (last) trimester have a doctor's note signed within 3 days of departure providing consent to fly.
